OCTOBER IN SHELBURNE, VERMONT, OCTOBER 5, 2017

*THIS TRIP IS FILLED

Come along with RC 10 on a one-day trip at the peak of the foliage season to the Shelburne Museum located in Vermont's scenic Champlain Valley. This museum is one of the finest, most diverse and unconventional museums of art and Americana in New England. On the grounds there are over 30 buildings open with 21 beautiful gardens and the old side wheel steamboat Ticonderoga, just to name a few of the many attractions.

After spending the day touring the Museum, at 3:00 we will board the bus to move down the road to Shelburne Farms. Here we will have a guided tour of the Webb (Vanderbilt) country estate as well as the cheese making operation and other parts of this beautiful property that wass designed by Frederick L. Olmstead (the designer of Central Park).

At 5:45 we have a dinner reservation at a restaurant on Shelburne Road (the dinner, tax, and tip are included in the price for the day).

After dinner we will return to the Albany area, arriving around 9:30-10:00 p.m.

The bus pick-ups will be at three locations: in Albany, at 7:15 a.m. from the lower level of Crossgates Commons; in Saratoga, at 8:15 a.m. from Exist 15 Park and Ride (Wilton Mall close to Dick's Sporting Goods); and in Glens Falls, at 8:30 a.m. at Aviation Mall in front of Sears.

The total cost, including dinner, transportation, and tips plus admission is $90 for dues-paying members of RC 10, and $95 for nonmembers and guests.

Sign up by September 1. Make checks payable to RC 10 and send to Daniel D. Boone, 187 Aldous Road, Granville, NY 12832. Please make sure to list your place of pickup and phone numbers.  Use the generic travel form linked below. If you have any questions, call Dan at home in the evenings at (518) 642-1075.
