VISIT SANTA FE WITH RC 10, OCTOBER 21 TO 26, 2018

Travel with fellow RC 10 members and guests on a Road Scholar tour of Santa Fe from October 21-26, 2018. Some of the highlights of the itinerary will include browsing wonderful collections of pottery, weaving, baskets, jewelry. You will be awed by paintings only seen by the public via special invitation at the Indian Arts Research Center and will hear a lecture about the life and art of Georgia O'Keeffe during a guided tour of her museum. Visit Cintinela Traditional Arts weaving gallery where we will meet families who have been creating Hispanic weavings for generatons, and a beautiful little Roman Catholic Church, El Santuario de Chimayo'., a National Historic Landmark. Interact with a Pueblo native potter and visit the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture and the Museum of International Folk Art. Attend a lecture on southwest cuisine presented by James Beard Award-winning chefs followed by a meal prepared at the Red Mesa Cuisine. We will stay at the Drury Plaza Hotel, located in the heart of downtown Santa Fe, affording easy access to explore during free time, and six days' activities, twelve meals, six lectures, seven field trips, one performance and gratuities included. Cost: $1499 double/$2039 single for land program. Airfare is not included (group arrangements are available) and there is an approximately $66 airport shuttle fee. An RC10 pre-registration fee is $25 for fee-paying members, $50 for non-fee-paying members. Additional cancellation insurance is available for $100/$157 (double/single).
