Overview:
This event for RC 10 Members and their guests will focus on NYSUT updates and member benefits, as well as opportunities for continued health, engagement and learning during retirement.
Cost: $20 for Retirees and their Guests
The day includes morning coffee and teas, fruit, muffins, and granola; a full, hot lunch buffet (with gluten and dairy free choices); and five sessions, including campus tours. We are fortunate that NYSUT subsidizes our event so we can hold the cost to a minimum.

9:15 am Session 1: Mike Bennett ~ Superintendent of Schools, Greenville, NY, and Member of the National Association of Secondary School Principals Recovery Network As a member of the Principals Recovery Network, Mike advocates for mental health support and safety within our schools and communities. Learn about this group’s important advocacy efforts.
10:15 am Session 2: Derek Clement ~ NYSUT Benefits Coordinator Learn about the latest in NYSUT Member Benefits, including a new Retiree Quick Guide.
11:15 am Session 3: Melinda Person ~ NYSUT President A trained Kripalu RISE and yoga instructor, Melinda will explain the program that NYSUT is offering in-service and retired members. She will lead us through a RISE mindfulness session.
Noon – 1:00 pm ~ Lunch and Socializing
1:00 pm Session 4: Kimberly Williams ~ HVCC Assistant Director of Workforce Development and Community Education Kimberly will share information about the many courses, activities and field trips that HVCC offers to community members. You could even find out about teaching a course yourself!
