SOCIAL JUSTICE COMMITTEE: REGIONAL FOOD BANK BACKPACK/SCHOOL PANTRY UPDATE
Betsy Dickson, Senior Director of Children’s Programs at the Regional Food Bank writes. “We are so thankful for RC 10 and its members’ enduring support of our BackPack programs. Moving into 2026, there are a few school districts in each county considered in highest need. If members wish to support one of the schools listed below, funds will provide healthy food for students on weekends this year.
Albany County: Albany CSD, Watervliet, and Northern Rivers.
Rensselaer County: Hoosick Falls and Troy CSD (Carroll Hill, Schools 2, 14, and 16)
Saratoga County: Ballston Spa (Wood Road, Malta Ave., Milton Terr, Gordon Creek Elementary Schools), and Mechanicville
Washington County: Fort Edward and Fort Ann.
